Breast Augmentation at Melki Plastic Surgery: above or below the chest muscle?

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed operations in my practice. It is either done for augmentation alone or in conjuction with breast lifting.

Questions are always raised whether the implant will be inserted below or above the chest muscle and if one position is better than the other: both positions are used based on the patient’s anatomy and the final result I would like to achieve. The main reason I use the subpectoral position or “below the muscle”, is when I want to avoid implant edge visibility in a very thin patient.
