Botox

Botulinum toxin is used to weaken the muscular activity in order to delay the appearance of wrinkles or to smoothen the ones you already have. Most commonly treated areas include the forehead, region between the eyebrows, and the corner of the eyes known as crow's feet. It can also be used to soften the upper lip wrinkles and the neck muscle bands. The result becomes apparent in three to five days and usually lasts between 3 and 4 months.

Whenever using Botox, Dr. Melki always aims at giving you a nicely rejuvenated rested looking face yet still natural and expressive.

Botox and excessive sweating

Excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis whether from the armpits, hands or feet can be embarrassing and even debilitating.
It is reduced to a large extent with Botox which starts to take effect 3 to 5 days after the treatment and can last up to 8 months.

Injectable fillers

Fillers are substances injected under the skin in order to push the wrinkles outward and make them less visible.
They can be natural such as fat or synthetic such as hyaluronic acid gel. Besides fat, Dr. Melki uses exclusively non permanent fillers (pure hyaluronic acid), which, and depending upon the area treated, last between 6 and 8 months.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a procedure during which a rotating wheel is used to carefully polish away surface irregularities to make the skin look smoother and younger looking.
It is also used to improve fine facial wrinkles and scars left by acne, a previous accident or chicken pox.

Peelers are chemical substances used on the face to burn away the uppermost layer of the skin. Depending upon their depth of penetration, peelers can be used to just add some freshness to the skin, get rid of impurities and blotches or to smooth down the skin by tightening it and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.
At Melki Plastic Surgery all options are available and will be tailored to your specific needs...

Mesotherapy is a non invasive treatment whereby a mixture of vitamins and amino acids are injected into the middle layer of the skin. The aim is to restore its glow, and reduce the various blotches and impurities which accumulate with age. Several sessions are usually required to reach the desired result.
Dr. Melki has a trained specialist who performs mesotherapy under his direct supervision.

Laser Clinic

A variety of laser treatments are available at Melki Plastic Surgery. They are either performed by Dr. Melki himself, or by trained technicians under his supervision. These treatments include hair removal, skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, removal of pigmented lesions and acne scars as well as the elimination of hypertrophic scars and stretch marks. Since for each condition there is a different laser, a different length of treatment and different results, a preliminary consultation with Dr. Melki is very important for a proper assessment.

Hair removal

A multiple array of lasers are now available for hair removal suited for the different hair thicknesses, hair and skin colors. Multiple treatments might be needed to reach the desired result.

Pigmented lesion removal

Laser technology is used nowadays to help eliminate pigmented lesions of the face and body. A preliminary consultation will be needed to determine the type of pigmentation you have and the treatment best suited for it.

Skin rejuvenation

Lasers are now used to add freshness, restore glow and tighten the facial skin. Several treatments might be needed to achieve the desired result with minimal to no downtime.

Skin resurfacing/ wrinkle reduction/ acne scar

Fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck can add years to your look. Today's laser technology help reduce these signs of aging thus restoring youth and freshness to the treated areas.
Acne scars can also be treated. The number of treatments needed and the final result depend upon the depth of the scars and the type of skin you have.

Stretch marks

Stretch marks can occur after pregnancy, weight loss, or in people who take certain medications like steroids. This condition is almost impossible to treat, but a new laser available in Lebanon and approved by the FDA, might prove effective in alleviating this problem.

Scar hypertrophy

Scar Hypertrophy or thickening of the scar is a problem which affects olive color and dark skin. The result is a thick, hard to touch, reddish and painful scar, which can also cause itching and discomfort. Despite the use of silicone patches and / or steroid injections, there is no ideal solution to this problem.
A new laser available in Lebanon and approved by the FDA might prove effective in treating this condition.
